Time Out Australia has become the operational centre of the Time Out Group’s Asia-Pacific operations with the promotion of three of its core team.

Managing Director, Australia, Elise Bucholtz, has been promoted to Managing Director, APAC.

General Manager, Australia, Jason Woodards, has been promoted to General Manager, APAC, while Media Manager, Australia, Charlene Tan, takes on the role of Ad Operations Lead, APAC.

Based in Melbourne, Elise has been with Time Out since 2010 in various roles including Commercial Director. She succeeded Mike Rodrigues to become MD early in 2021 and now takes on the APAC role succeeding Tim Webb, who has returned to Time Out Headquarters in London to oversee the the businesses in APAC and Europe as well as to expand the franchising operations.

“I’m thrilled to be Time Out Group’s new APAC MD,” Elise says. “I’m looking forward to working with our colleagues across Asia and continuing to ensure we are the hyper-local source to the best of what's happening in the region.

“The opening up of our cities post-Covid, as well as the opening of Time Out Market in Osaka in 2025 and the evolution of our brand to be a mobile-first publisher, make this an exciting time to lead Time Out’s Asia-Pacific operations.

“It’s a tribute to the 15-year story of the Time Out brand in Australia, and to our cities as global powerhouses, that we’ve been entrusted to oversee APAC from Melbourne and Sydney.”

Hong Kong-based Phoebe Cheng, meanwhile, takes on the role of Creative Director, APAC.

In addition to these regional changes New York-based Stacy Bettman, former President of Time Out US, has been promoted to President, North America & UK.

The business continues to expand its digital and Time Out Market footprint operations under the leadership of new global CEO, Chris Ohlund.

If your business is looking for ways to engage audiences on a regional scale, Time Out is here to help.
